excerpt from the Editorial

It is with great pride and honour that we present the third volume of Talisik: An Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy. In an effort to further propel and spread the wide horizon of philosophy, the third volume of Talisik constitutes a more diverse themes and topics in comparison to our first and second volume. Our readers will see the vantage point of Friedrich Nietzsche situated into Philippine setting and our contemporary moral problems. Furthermore, our readers will also discover Immanuel Kant’s theories of ethics and aesthetics. [...] To further enhance the diversity and flavours that our readers will experience, they will also encounter the perspective and horizon of some notable philosophers in our history such as John Locke, Baruch Spinoza, Arthur Schopenhauer, Simone de Beauvoir and Emmanuel Levinas. Lastly, their voyage in the rich world of philosophy offered by the third volume will be complete once they encounter Plato’s Allegory of the Cave in a Kierkegaardian interpretation
